Hello,
I am running Beta 2 with a Abit AV8 MB and Athlon 64 3500+ CPU with 768MB of RAM. I have a ATI Radeon X850 Video Card also.
WoW will crash intermittently while being ran. When it crashes the screen freezes and it locks up my system requiring a cold reboot.
I have tried both the video driver that comes with vista and the beta drivers from ATI to no avail.
Any techies have any insight into my problem? Could my low amount of RAM (768M) be the issue???
Thanks in advance!
Bryan

World of Warcraft is working ok here, with a 850XT.... I've had a few other games fall over when starting however, Civ 4, ZT2, Half-Life... But starting them in a window works fine.
I'm not sure if there's a switch to tell WoW to start in a window, but you might want to give that a try.

I'm also having issues running WoW in Vista. It doesn't seem to be able to detect widescreen resolutions (e.g. 1680x1050), even when running it windowed. Could be an issue with the nVidia drivers.

No, it is happenening with ATI cards also. There is a thread on the WoW support forums with other people having the same issue across a range of cards.
